    The City of Chicago commits cultural crime!

    Here are a few pictures that a friend of mine took as he watched the City of Chicago in COOPERATION with the churches buy dangerous guns to get them off the street. This particular firearm, that I will show you pictures of, has probably been used at least 10 times in the last week to commit drive-by shootings in the City of Chicago. Thank God that they got it off of the street!
    I bet that Father Pfleger & Rahm Emanuel will be able to sleep safely tonight, knowing that this gun, and others like it, will not be used at 2AM to kill an innocent bystander!!!

    This Civil War rifle will be melted along with other firearms from the Spanish-American War, WW1, WW2, Korea....all guns that helped defend the United States and are a part of her heritage!
    Well done Rahm. Great job, Father Pfleger! A gun buy-back. You get a $100 Visa Card for each gun you turn in. You only get $10 for BB Guns & Pellet Guns. I think that they should have given a $100 for them also. After all, you could shoot your eye out. Miserable no-good liberals out to protect us from ourselves, no matter what the cost. Let's destroy our history. Let's rewrite the history books. Let's brainwash the children in the schools......all for the greater good! Welcome to George Orwell's world!

        As someone who lived in Illinois and actually managed Section 8 housing on the South side of Chicago in the baddest part of town I could tell you all in graphic detail the about root causes of the violence in that area. ALL the bad guys have guns and can get as many as they want. It's the honest law abiding citizens who are unarmed and the real victims.
        Anyway since this would get into politics and that is forbidden here I'll just leave it at this.
        Gross stupidity and the inability to come to terms with the real problems in Chicago result in the misguided efforts such as you see above.

              The buy-back is a nice little show for the left wing and I would love to see the statistics of how many of the buy-back guns were actually used in crimes and how many were actually stolen just to get the gift cards (which they actually ran out of and had to give IOU's) - on the local news this morning they displayed guns from the buy back including an M60 and a USMC paratrooper Reisling with Jesse Jackson professing it was a huge success.

                  You're missing something here. These people HATE guns and gunowners. The LAST thing this crowd want's to do is display guns in any way that's positive. That's why one of the most left wing controlled unions in the Country(teachers union) won't permit firearms education and safe handling to be taught in the schools. Think Eddie Eagle NRA program here. It would put a positive face on firearms ownership and that's the last thing they want.

                      I know a few of the rank-and-file in the Chicago Police Department & they tell me how every time there is an elction, a new Police Commisioner comes in with a new program and institutes it. None of these high falutin' types ever asks anybody from the ranks about their ideas. None of these fancy programs have worked to stop the gun violence and my copper friends have explained to me, why, in advance of the idea being put in place. Chicago needs to hire a bunch of police but that would cost money, which the City doesn't have. So they come up with these "brilliant", "innovative" ideas that look good to the Mayor, the Police Oversight Board & the civialian religious ministers associations.
                      New York has 50,000 police officers. Chicago now has fewer than 10,000(?).
                      I saw Jesse Jackson was marching outside of a Dolton, Illinois gun store, protesting that this is the source of all of the illegal guns that come into Chicago, the source of the guns that kill people. For the first time, I was surprised to see, there were black/Afro-American protesters out there, counter marching against Jackson, claiming that they are spporters of the 2nd Amendment. They were protesting in support of the 2nd Amendment, stating that under the law, they should have the right to arm and protect themselves against the criminal element.

                          It would be perfect if it were "widely used." Then again, say hello to maximum residue. Out of all the guns they could've used, how do they know how to use a muzzleloader? It's a shame...the victims could've lived if it weren't for these laws or if they knew what to do in this situation...but I guess the police don't care!

                              I wonder if they pad these things at all. They ran out of gift cards and had to give out iou's. There is not a politician or elected official alive that does not have a P. R. person working for them. I just wonder if they didnt lie about running out. Because if they did run out, then they did not do a good job at orginizing this, they should know about what is going to get turned in from past buy backs, do some research. However, if they state that they ran out it put the idea in the reader of the article's mind that the people are behind this since sooooo many showed up that they had to hand out I.O.Us and therefor this a good thing cause soooo many people support it. Also if they have not convinced all of us that this is good they throw in we found a m-60 too for the people who might know something about guns. Next time it will be a grenade. I am always skeptical about people who promote thier own selfrightousness. This is the inefective, feel good, catchphrase goverment that is ruining this country. Unfortunatly, I have decided to run for the local city council. My feeling is that if I am gonna bitch then I should do something about it. I recomend every normal person do the same. It is going to take alot of my time but I am tired of these politicians.
