    Gun Parts on eBay

I was surfing that "e" site on the "Bay" and saw an enormous amount of gun parts - barrels, clips, demilled receivers, and such. Also, tons of listings for hand grenades, stick grenades, some offered as dewatt originals.

So has eBay relaxed some rules, or are they just asleep at the switch?

Are they listed using the proper description or is it done using different words maybe grenade as gren@de etc....??

Machine guns and grenades and your good to go, stay away from offensive symbols or you could have issue if they are real.

I have been on Ebay for eon's and they must be hurting, you cannot find anything there and nothing like it used to be.

You sell fakes you are good as gold, you sell originals? your screwed. Funny thing is I do not think this is reporting like it used to be and its operating in a manner that seems calculated to be honest.

These gun/ Grenade issues are becoming more common, it is possible and I would not rule out ATF. There is something happening here and I see it but not sure what it is, but the items appear to run in gray areas which would mean targeting intelligent people. I just don't know but I am seeing it and its not specific.

They once ended a replica grenade listing I had because it was solid rubber and they said they only allowed PLASTIC replicas! Here's one that is wood and metal, ready to roll, and he has sold many.

What could be more obvious than selling a pistol barrel as a pistol barrel? No gray area here. And with over a thousand to choose from, it's a significant source for the discriminating 14 year old hood.

The rules have been relaxed. 10 round G43 magazines, MP40 parts, and grenade fuses are all sold now, as an example. Triggers and firing parts, once forbidden, are also allowed. So are barrels, including those for MP40s.

                regards, Robert

They are so screwed up and their policies have driven many people away. Not sure how you ship these grenades around anyway but I see the rules broken all the time and then you go to list a book or something and they kill the auction.

                  Its pretty retarded.

I sold a pistol parts kit awhile back(everything but the frame) and the auction went off without a hitch. I believe the assessment is accurate that they've driven so many potential users away that the have eased their inane rules to a degree.

I have bought and sold recently on ebay - it can still be frustrating, but it's not as bad as you might think. I have a MP40 magazine well and luger barrel on right now; both will go to auction end. You don't need to hide the description or any such nonsense.

You couldn't sell a luger magazine two months ago, or one for a P38 - but you can now. They have changed their policies. You still can't sell a rifle receiver, but about everything else.

Grenade and mine fuses, Vid, not grenades. They are dewatted, but they are allowed to run full auction and grenade fuses.

                        Robert,

Apologize for my wording. I guess I was just curious how they get shipped looking like they do, like grenades. I would like a dewat piece but they always seem to show up in Europe and cannot wrap my head around shipping one of those in here with things as they are.

                        Best,

                        Kris

Thanks Vid, I think we're talking past each other. The fuses, like for a mine or stick grenade, don't look like anything menancing. They are the size of shotgun shells or a rifle bullet, and aren't the whole thing (like a dewatted grenade).

Having said that, there are dewatted grenades bought and shipped on Ebay regularly these days as well.

                            Robert,

O.k, not dealing with these items much I have no idea what they are about. I know I like the dewat grenades and they have been bought and sold on Ebay forever and a day. I used to sell guns on Ebay years ago and it was allowed then. Now it seems anything I list gets blown up.

They sent me a survey the last time after blowing up an auction of a period book of mine, I answered that with a barrage of venom that must have lasted a page or better. Hate those people and their politically correct b.s.

                            Best,

                            Kris
