That's a nice and good one. With the top fork but lager 34 it could be used for any MG34, 13, 15; with a lager 42 for the MG 42, and with other special adapters it could be used for several ZB family and even with DP28.

Sorry,

About the paint...if darke blue-grey, it might be original. These tended to loose paint very easily, so very little original paint might be left. The green??? mostly post war , but could also have some cammo, difficult to say without seing the whole thing.

Agree. It is difficult to see. I have taken some pics with flash which to tend to blend the blue/gray versus green. Paint has peeled off in some areas except in the middle where the markings are, but should see it in real.

Great! Could you put up some pics of yours?

They are very difficult to find in original paint. Most of these tripods are repainted after war or used by other countries and reconditioned.

Sure thing it only took me 5 years to find one and it was my third electron one.
Since i have sold the other 2 but i do have the dreibein 40 with about 60% original paint and the very rare steel dreibein 34 with about 20% original pain and post war green.

I guess that must be field applied repaint/cammo! It looks really nice and is very unfrequent to find
