    MP 44 just received

    MP-44. Late war production by Steyr. Took 7 months for ATF approval.
    Late war stock that has flat sides and no ribs on butt stock.

                Very nice rifle! Last I looked I had about 1200 rounds of ammo for this! I wonder what it's like to shoot? You will have to post a report!

                  I have owned 3 of these. The first one I got in 1989 and ammo was very expensive...original german and some post war stuff.
                  So I didn't get to fire it too much before I sold it. With the current ammo out of Europe being more reasonable I will have to avail myself.

                  These rifles are very heavy and people are surprised when they hold one for the first time. It is easy to tap and keep bursts on the page.

                          It's funny how that changes, and how those changes affect the market.
                          Very nice weapon. I like the phosphated finish. I too, own a MP-44, and I love it !!
                          I have heard of guys buying these years ago, dirt cheap (relatively), when NO ammo. was available....
