I just picked this up from a vet sale....

All matching 42/1939 Model 98 with original cleaning rod, takedown disc stamped to the max.. for $100.00

the reciver chamber is pitted over the 42 stamp, the rifling is clean and good the woodwork is good, it needs a good oil bath, given the pitting, i wont be shooting this, it will get cleaned, oiled and bagged.. Damn shame about the pitting. 100% matching serials sigh...................

I picked up one time that they had left standing in a puddle of water in the garage. Buttplate gone and stock rotted. All matching.....
