Are you saying you think it was welded on? Doesn't look fake to me, besides they were experimenting on the rifle at the time,as it had many problems . Might be a prototype. Did you dig it yourself?

Looks like it was welded on instead of machined.

this is the early Walther G41 (W) rifle by the markings present. rail has been welded on.

Yes, rail is welded i think!
This gewehr is not mine, it is on a french forum!

I dont know if it is a prototyp but why not!!!!
