An MG-42 For The Rest Of Us

This is legal in all states except for California. Since we don't have a firearms forum as of yet, I thought I'd post it here. It is way cool.

Gene, those look great. The first German gun that they did was a semi-auto MG34. A friend of mine purchased it. He was having some problems getting it to cycle at first. But, I think that has been straightened out.

          Magnificent!!!

          Nice firing!

When I sold automatics only 2 MG-42s passed my way, the Brrrrrp sound of them firing was incredible. I cannot imagine going up against one...

These ones are nice though, although not available in Californiamoremad moremad moremad

$3K to $4K is pretty steep

...as I remember no class 3s (altered) can be made legal, I could very well be wrong.

A friend once told me that a vet described the sound of a MG42 as a piece of ripping paper. He said that whenever you heard one, you dropped immediately. He also said that right after the war, a group of vets went to a weapon demonstration. While they were distracted, someone demonstrated the MG42. When they heard it, they all fell immediately to the ground.

I have fired MG 42 from bipod and tripod mounted and all I can say is that I don't like to be in the wrong side of this weapon, his sound is like ripping paper as said and the acuracy of the weapon in short burst is amazing. Also I have seen some people using it from the hip and only thinking of being in the attack against a position defended with a couple of this weapons is just terrorizeing, all my respect to the allied soldiers who faced this weapon. They are still in use in several armies incluiding the spanish where are two different bolts a light one with a rate of fire of over 1.200 rounds per minute and a heavy on that gives "only" 800. And it's not uncommon to find tripods still with Waffenamt marks.

              Cheers
