    SS double claw twins!

Awhile back I posted photos of a nice BYF 43 SS double claw that came into the Mesquite Texas Bigtown show that I had purchased from a Baptist Deacon whose father bought it from the vet. Well this weekend was the last Bigtown show ever as the building is to be demolished for a sports complex to be built. This show had run for twenty five years or so. We all show up to setup to find that someone had stolen the air conditioning,,which was not unusual at this show, suffering through it was a tradition! Well there I am Saturday, sweating with the oldies,,,when two firemen walk in with a K98 missing the handguard. As he unslings it to give it to the safety team to strap I see the double claw mounts. I flew over the table and now I have twins! Must find an unnumberd handguard as I have a non matching number one on it now but its beautiful. Mismatched bolt but nothing I can do about that, and best of all I had the DOW scope for it on my table for sale, slid it into place and CLICK! it was back to its former glory!
A fitting way to end the show! The new member to the family is on the top!

SS Double claw mount snipers.....man thats the holy grail !

I dream I might own one matching high turret one day soon, but two double claws is unthinkable.

Your a lucky guy Thank you for showing them.

        Regards Craig.

Wow how lucky are you to have one walk in the door. Gives me hope that there are still some sitting around in closets even today. Sure wish i could add one to my gun safe. And i know i cant afford it but is that a sale tag on the one on bottom? If so what kind of price do you have on it just in case my lotto numbers come up LOL?

                Sniper

Thats a tag that documents what it is and how it came into collection and if there is a letter from vet or relative detailing its history, I always try to keep the story with the weapon.

Man, I wish this would happen to me sometime!
In all my years collecting, I've never had a gun walk right into my lap!
