Hello All,
I picked this up earlier this week from a local veteran who was fighting in the South Pacific in early 1945. Unfortunately the Japanese soldier got to the mum before our guys got to them. It has some bayonet hash marks through it and some hammer marks to finish it off. Other than that it is in pristine condition. The bore is like a mirror with sharp rifling. All of the parts are matching as well! I love these old T99 rifles! They may not be very pretty, but they are actually quite well made despite what Japan was going through at the time. I might be listing it on here soon for sale once I can verify that it is safe to shoot. I know the veteran I got it from shot it quite a few times after the war, but I still want to test it out with some light loaded ammo just to be sure. Anyway, what are your thoughts on these T99 "Last Ditch" rifles? Thanks for looking!
