    Beretta M1935 commercial "Geco" rig....

This rig came my way today. It's a '41 date Beretta M1935 with commercial rather than military proof marks. The pistol was wholesaled to the German sporting goods company of Gustav Genschow where it was stamped with their distinctive "Geco" logo. The holster that accompanied it was also made in 1941 and embossed with the German wartime code "jhg" which was assigned to Geco. Here are some pics.

      What a great rig.
I had seen Berettas with the WaA proof, but I guess it is the first time I see one with commercial mark. Nice private purchase by an officer.

In 1940-1941 Beretta sold about 3000 1934 and 1935 models to Geco.
All these guns had commercial markings.
