the hand vice appears rather bigger than the normal type? also the spot where the mg wrench goes, the shape of it seems a different kind like one of the mg08 types?

YES!! I'd say it's an armourer's kit for the MG08/15. It's the first time I see one.

Tool Kits

Nice item and great spot in the auction house. I look for WWI MG tools and boxes etc and it is always useful seeing 'later' patterns as often the tools are unchanged. Did you ever complete your box?
