Roth-Steyr M07- Reissued by the Reich

What a nice find! The RFV-stamp means "Reichsfinanzverwaltung", Finance Department of the Reich. Every cassa of a revenue-office had some weapons due to the cash money, they had to store.

I owe a declaration from the last days of the Third Reich, that every weapon of these cassas had to give away to the Volkssturm..

Nice Roth-Steyr, which saw use in bith wars! I think you remember one M-7 that I own that was issued to the same cavalry regiment: 15. Dragoon Regiment. The holster is lovely, too!

The RFV Roth-Steyr holster is marked to the 15 Dragoon Regiment in WW1 and also has a Reich 1939 issue date as well. In WW1 the Roth was weapon # 27 belonging to the 15 Dragoon Regiment. There is no reference to what the 'W' ( in the RFV numbering) stands for but it is found on Walther PPs, and other German pistols, as well.. wfg
