P 38 Holster Markings, Opinions Needed

I would like opinions on the markings for this P 38 hardshell holster I bought back in the mid 90s in Germany at a militaria show. The Waffen Amt eagle has a backwards swastika, something I have never seen before. Maybe there was a die that was made incorrectly? As far as I can tell the holster is original and it looked unissued to me when I bought it and I had to form it with a pistol inside it for a long time to stretch the leather. Also it did not smell like new leather when I bought it.

The maker mark is joa and dated 1943 with WaA 706. I did some quick research and found the maker name was Karl Heinichen, Dresden.

Hi Glen,

From the stitching and the texture of the leather, it looks like a repro to me. Also, the leather used for the belt loops looks very thin, the best I can tell from that angle. The leather used in the wartime holsters is normally very smooth and each stitch normally has a slight angle to it. Compare to the holster in the link. It's a different maker but they all pretty much look the same. More overall pictures would be helpful.

Looks like I got burnt on this piece. Not the answer I wanted but the one I suspected I would probably hear. At least I didn't pay a lot for this and I can possibly recoup some of my money.
