Rg34 w/a nice find!

Hello everyone,

Nice to be able to post and join in again. I have two rg34's pictured below one I have had for awhile and is " rco 45 " marked the other is " 64 " marked. They have the tan paint finish often found on late war RG34's, the " 64 " marked can came with the pictured sheet metal oiler... for me a very nice find!

I was wondering if anyone could give me information on the " 64 " marking as to maker and year ( would this be also a '45 made item? ).

Thank you, do you know what the " 64 " represented? Also the sheet metal oiler is VERY hard to find... its the first I have ever had!

I can't say for sure but I personally think it might be a factory code of some sort. Than again, I have never seen any with the #64 on it, only '45 versions that I have seen and owned where with the three letter code and the date.
I do know that for every '45 dated RG43 one will find 10000 RG34's with different pre-45 dates. The RG34 with a '45 date on it is an extremely rare find, like the '45 dated bayonets.
I only own a few sheet metal oilers in relic condition and have never seen one for sale in a good collectable condition.
It's a small treasure you have there.
