Hope that someone will step in on behalf of collectors, and other gun-enthusiasts and stop this psycho babble..

It reminds that not so long ago the Danish "Tøjhusmuseum" scrapped a s#!tload of (live!) MP 40's because they didn't have room to display them all

If you have a collector agreement or shooting licence you can hold yor guns in original caliber ! If you have no licence obsolet calibers are free as i saw and flare guns too . I have sold last year a enfield ww1 to a belgian friend and k 98 k too witout problems no licence required .

So I guess you're saying this if your guns are currently registered because you have a collectors or shooters license you will not be required to turn them in at this time?
This sounds to me like they are initially trying to round up and destroy any unregisted firearms that are NOT in obsolete calibers.
This also sounds like an omnious step towards total confiscation.
Has George Soros or one of his flunkeys been active in Belgium?

The Belgian law is not changing as drastically as discribed.
At this moment there's law proposal to register all the firearms which are free to buy (live and without permit). An exception will be made for those built before 1945 based on a patent before 1890. Deacts will still be free.
Alle these free firearms areactaullly recorded in a list which is composed of rifles pistols like K98, enfield, swiss luger C96conehammer, etc..

The future registration will be accessible to all Belgians without criminal record.
When this new law will be approved, all firearms even full-auto's will still be accessible for citizens but a permit/license will be needed.

The long standing strategy of the gun grabbers here in the US is to first get everything registered. Once registered confiscation would be the next step and it will be turn them in or go to jail.
We are IMO one Supreme Court appointment away from starting this process right new.

Of course things can even get worst... Here in Italy even swords and bayos are forbidden. If you want to buy one, you must declare it to the authorities and get a permission or you must have a gun licence. Too bad. I never heard of a bank robbery done with a XIX century cavalry sword...

There are shrink wrap films that have corrosion inhbitors made into the material. These are 10 mil films and are extremely heavy duty.

You could put weapons into the film, heat shrink the film and bury them for up to 5 years without corrosion issues. The material has been used by the military and has survived hurricane force winds and driving rain without being pulled apart.

they said that the COMPLETE list will be scrapped... so where did you find the info that pre-1945 guns will be free again ?
and how can a normal person get a licence these days ? i have a friend who is waiting more than 1 year now ,his gun is still with the police...

This is one of the biggest heists in several years, first let all collectors build up a big collection and then force them to get permits which cost a lot of money. This "Safety Plan" is nothing more than a way to pave the road to dictatorship. The next logical step will be a total ban on all fire arms, no more licenses or sport shooting. Those who will have a permit are know to the government and their corrupt police and all legal gun owners will have to hand in their weapons without any form of compensation. That's the future for us poor Belgians. The Sheeple are satisfied because they are taught to believe this measure will end crime with weapons.

i am afraid you are wright !!! first knowing where they are by registration ,next step confiscating them !!! in the mean time they also receved a lot of monney for the registration...
the registration form for the guns is like the yellow star for the jews !!
i think the only option is deactivation in the future ,and since there are a lot of guns ,the waiting time will becoming very long...
