I believe this is a wartime finish HsC.
917522 is the serial #.
What year was it made....or is that knowledge unavailable because of lack of records?

More specifically, your HSc was produced in approx August 1944. The serial number places it among a number of commercial pistols...those that did not have a military or police procurement stamp at the rear of the left trigger guard.
