    1911 Colt

    It's not often that you find an early 1911 that has seen use, but retains it's correct and probably original parts. The only thing not correct was the magazine, which was a lanyard loop type, but the pistol originally came with the "Keyhole" lanyard loop magazine. Also, the receiver has not been disfigured around the slide stop from some Bubba trying to either pry or beat the slide stop out. I bought this one some 25 years back.

    This one was shipped January 15, 1913 to Benecia Arsenal.

    She is still very nice. Everytime I see the movie the "Wild Bunch" I LOVE seeing the parts in which they are armed with Colt Army .45cals.

      That's a very nice example. Has that "been there done that" look to it.
