thank you guys !!
what do you think abouth the rivets ? i think it is possible they where replaced after the war by modern ones ,on the inside they are very shiny ,maybe the inner piece came loose over the years ? or did they already had this kind of rivets ?
I don't like those rivets...never seen them on any MG gunner's pouch but that doesn't mean they didn't exist, it's just I don't like them. Are they aluminium?
After studying your pics I have reached the conclusion that those rivets are not original. Look at all the scratches on the front and under... it looks as if they had been done with a screwdriver when removing the original rivets. That would have been done to remove the inner wooden and metal plates, so to use the pouch for some other purpose. Pitty the restoration was done with that kind of rivets.
hi Carles ,thank you for the good info
i already thought this was the case !
i think the rivets are aluminium . the inside seems to be ok and original ,i shall make a picture for you !
but it still looks greath on my mannequin though !!
greetings ,Jo.

barnfinds are moore rare .
Hi,
I suspect Nick Komiya's pouch came from Russia like mine, note the black paint they strangely bothered to paint all the metal fittings with.
It can be removed but it's a fiddly task!
A|ll the best,
