    M1914 Kongsberg barrel

    Hallo!
I would like to know if the M1914 kongsberg barrel was different or not from the 1911 or 1911A1 USA barrel.. I think yes, but I cannot find any pictures..

    Someone knows?

    Thank you!

Norwegian 1914 barrels were serial numbered to the pistol. The barrels for the Model 1911 and Model 1911A1 should have the standard U.S. markings.

      Hi!
      thank you for the reply.
Yes, but apart from the markings, did the norvegian kongsberg barrel have the same style of the US one? type of construction, locking mechanism..

      Thank you!

      PS:
Anybody has a picture of the kongsberg barrel??

Yes, the barrels are basically the same other than possible manufacturing tolerances.

          Hello

Here is two barrels from Kongsberg, on top from 1945 and the other one from 1927.

Only the one from 1927 has number.

What are the marking on the 1945 (top) barrel? I would have expected phosphate finish and normal markings in 1945.

              No markings, maybe changed?

There appears to be a marking just forward of the lug. The barrel looks more like a 1911A1 barrel.

The 1945 Kongsberg Colt barrel has markings and stamps on it.
