Greetings all, this being my first post, I figured I would share my WW2 Luger rig. The Luger and the holster have gone around my Town since it was brought back by a returning WW2 Vet. The Luger was even traded in the 1960's for a case of beer! Enyoy!

Not really enough information or pictures to tell you much of anything except it looks like a nice rig.
BTW: I'll ship you a case of beer of your choice if your interested. But Wait: Make that two cases.

Any information on the cleaning rod pictured? Have info they were imported "5 to a bundle w/a small packing tag written in German that said Walther 7.65 cleaning rod. Back in the 60s whenI was a teenager I managed to get into Century Arms which was located in St Albans,VT at the time. I was shown around a bit and they had 50 gal barrels of Lugers. The going price as I remember for one was around $35 for a 4" version. Artillery Models like the one pictured in this period ad brought more.

My Dad told me that US troops would pay £5 for a Luger,his unit had a box full of P38 & lugers,the idea was to sell these to the 'yanks' at the end of the war,but one day the box went missing nobody knew who took it,but by co-incidence one of their senior nco's came back roaring drunk.JohnOriginally posted by ValhallaMilitaria View PostComment
