MP40 to MP41 Conversion for your comments.

For your consideration is this MP40 to MP41 project I recently completed. First of all I have to say I would have never have started this on my own by cutting up perfectly good MP40 and MP41 parts. Someone else started this but did not know how to finish it so I purchased the already cut parts and completed it. The project involved fitting a MP40 lower receiver inside a MP41 stock. It allows a person to use a legal registered MP40 upper without modification on a fairly realistic looking MP41 stock. All parts used are WWII German. It shoots like a dream and is more accurate than a MP40 without the stock flop. I know it is not a 100% accurate MP41 copy but it is as close as I could come.

Is this a post sample or a semi auto build? I think it's very cool!

        Welcome to the forum.
I'd have to say I give it the thumbs up, given the circumstances you described !! I love the figuring of the wooden stock as well !!
Very nice project, finally brought to completion.

It is one of my Curo and Relic MP40 receivers temporarily installed in this configuration. One of the reasons I did it was so the this beautiful stock which had been hollowed out on the inside would not to to waste.

very cool build. way to make lemonaid out of lemons. as sad as it is that an MP-40 got chopped, at least something nice came out of it.

Great work - it is a shame it's not just a matter of screwing the MP41 barrel on, the resting bar is the only thing that stands out - and even then, I had to look twice.

Great stuff - I love projects like this, you fixed someone elses mistake and made it work, well done.
