Hello, any one have photos of new in the package parts, magazines, ect. of m-1 carbine or garand rifles (or any ww2 U.S. gun), OF WW2 ERA ?

Just interested in seeing how they were packaged , amount of items per package ,& the packaging markings.

I'm sure if you search on the forum and on GB or Google, you'll find some. I believe someone posted a grouping a while back that included a couple of M1 Carbine clips still in their original original wrappings!

        parts

Never heard of a "carbine clip" but I do have and I have seen carbine magazines in the wrapper. Watch feeBay there is always a few items that are USGI still in the wrap, I've seen type III barrel bands, magazines, bolts, oilers and a few other things over the years.

I have both an empty Rock-Ola and Saginaw magazine cases/boxes that magazines came in. If you throw me your email address I'll send you a picture of the boxes and a few mags. still wrapped. van2smith@aol.com

Here are a few Model 1911A1 pistol parts packaged in WWII. While the packages may have the name of the WWII 1911A1 contractor on the package, this doesn't necessarily mean it was manufactured by that contractor. The package of barrels marked Remington Rand were actually made by Flannery Bolt Co.

Maybe a first for some, but this is a Carbine clip.

                parts

I'm sorry I guess I have seen those before. Was the idea to refill a magazine without removing it? If so how well do they work without a slot to fit into like a SKS has?

The wide part of the clip pulls down, and fits over the back of the magazine, held by the groove in the magazine. Then the ammo was stripped out of the clip (stripper clip) into the magazine. With the SKS the magazine was not detachable and had to be loaded from the top, but the magazine was detachable on the Carbine, and the ammo in the clips was carried in a bandolier.

                    Wow ,thank you Johnny !!
I have searched the net, but every time google "fixes" themselves , it seems you find less of what you wanted to see. plus ad an S , & you get different results.

Plus these days to hard to find much.... all the dealers rip them open to sell the parts , & the package goes into the trash.

Now on that carbine clip , I've only seen a photo of it in black & white, rare to see.
again , thank you for showing these items to us.
