M3 Grease gun in Afghanistan

My son sent me this photo of a M3 that someone found in a storage container in Afghanistan. He said its too bad they cant bring it home. He was pretty excited to share the story with me.

He is in the Marines and just participated in Operation Eastern Storm in Helmid Provence Afghanistan. He has seen a lot of heavy combat in the last few months. He has spent a lot of time on the M240!

I thought the forum would like to see it.

Ask your son if he could ship it back to his marine unit in the states to be part of a War trophy museum as captured war booty.

cool. Tell your son to talk to the top C.O. of his unit , get a hold of a C.I.A. operative there.
this guy can send it back to Virginia , where they will make it non working , & provide the proper documents to state the same ,ect.
my brother did this during his last trip to Iraq , on some russian items.
the unit held on to it , got the cia involved , and when my brother was getting ready to rotate home , items to the "spook", he got home , little later items sent to his house.
