    Luger Holster, opinions please.

    Hi guys,

    Can I have some opinions on this holster please it comes with a 1940, code 42 pistol. I know nothing about holsters.
    The three photos are all I have just now.

      Beautiful unmolested original hostler, nice catch. If it is Waffen 127 (as it looks from the picture) it was made by Ewald Lunenschloss. Big boys would get $325-$450 for it alone.

              From what I can find on the net Ewald Lunenschloss only used WaAmpt 127 from 1940 - 41.

                Maybe the year in stamped just below the manufacturer's stamp and right behind the upper part of the left belt loop.

                    That waffenamt number looks like 727 to me.

                        Sorry, Les. I still see 727. I think that holster may have been made by Frederich Offermann, Bensberg. If you look at the last line in the maker's name you can just make out the "ENSBER".

                        Just my opinion.

                          I think you could be right, I'll play about with the pics and try to make it clearer. As I said I'm not at home so can't access the holster. As long as it's original that's all that really matters to me.
