this so far does not look familiar to me.
yes it would be a grenade. interesting that it has a company mark & a date.
I would assume a mock up for a prototype , that never came ,OR a training aid.
odd with the pull igniter on the main body.
looks like a cross between a hand grenade & a rifle grenade.

guess I'll stand back & learn some thing from an expert.

Its a Faustpatrone, the precurser to the panzerfaust klein. There is a technical drawing of one in the book 'Panzerfaust' - German anti-tank weapons by Wolfgang Fleischer.
