    Hispano-suiza MP43/44

    Dears,

Here's a picture from a period Flemish Waffen-SS recruitment booklet.
    There's this picture in it.
Could the MP be a Swiss Hispano-suiza MP43/44?
    What do you guys think?

    Regards,
    Kris

Hispano-Suiza MP43/44 was a copy of the Finnish Suomi M 31 and the Germans acquired 3000 of these, so this may be a Suomi.

That is the 5th or 6th photo of an German with one of those guns. It is a suomi that was made before 1943 because of the absent muzzle brake. Another interesting thing about that pic is that it is using a 50 round "Coffin" magazine, all the other photos show drums.

              Airforce,

These coffin magazines are typical for Hispano's.
A lot of Swiss men volunteerd for the Wehrmacht / WaffenSS.
Switserland also produced weapons for Germany and were while being neutral bombed twice by US- Airforce (Basel and Schaffhausen).

I remember those coffin mags. when Suomi kits were dirt cheap 39.99/49.99 and 71 rd drums were 9.99. for a very short time MAYBE a 6 month span the coffin mages were all over the place, i think they held 50 rounds and wanted i think 19.99. i bought one cause they looked neat . never under stood 71 rounds 9.99 50 rounds 19.99 but they sold any way, they did dry up fast. i rarely see them any more this was about 2003 i think.
