    Mars 115 Training rifle/Air rifle 4.4mm

Mars 115 training rifle...not the best pics, but you can get the idea, I assume these use a stacking rod identical or quite similar to the DSM 34? Also, I had purchased a repro sling for a DSM34 quite awhile back, as I understand it that sling would be correct for this as well? If anyone has the info on who was making those slings shoot me a PM please... Chris

Chris, here is a few pictures of mine with an elm stock. Note the cleaning rod that is unlike one from a DSM-34. I have never seen another rod on a Mars-115 to compare with, so cannot be certain this is the correct one.

          Mars 115

Nice Denny! The rifle and the backyard...mine is buried in snow and debris from windstorms right now... Could you take a couple closeups of the rod if you have time, including the end that goes in the rifle? What is the overall length of the rod, should be fairly easy to fabricate a replacement.... Chris..

            Hi Denny,

I saw a collection about 30 years ago in Santa Barbara and that example had rod that was a match for the one in yours.

I see that Morten has very kindly saved me the trouble by providing excellent pictures of his identical rod. Thanks Morten!
BTW, any visible serial numbers? Mine has the serial number marked under barrel, receiver, trigger, under trigger guard & twice on backplate in front of safety. Also on stock & handguard. None of these numbers can be seen without disassembly.
If you've never had your rifle apart, I would recommend leaving it that way. I had a bejeezus time getting it back together

Don't mention it, it's always nice to find an excuse for bringing out the "old stuff" and take pictures! Mine has a serial number on the stock.. And it's not visible anywhere else, and I think I'm going to leave it that way, I don't wan't to mess anything up

I think mine is a bit later than your's.. The Mars 115 is located just before the rear sight, and the last digit in the SN is 45 which as far as I know denotes the year of manufacture..

I will post some pictures of it, hope it's alright.

                      Cheers Morten

Anyone have a line on parts or a pdf of a user manual of any sorts?
