    yard sale German .22 cal rifle

    Hello forum...

    I bought this for $100 at a yard sale.

    the guy claimed his dad brought it back from WWII and it was a training rifle.

    It's German... but is it just a regular target gun?

    It does have waffants stamps on it?

                        Robert, the stamps you call Waffants (Waffenamts?), the small eagles with the N under them, are the Nitro proof marks applied by the German Proof House in after January 15, 1940 in compliance with the law of the land. They indicate the weapon could be sold on the commercial market.
