Russian PU sniper rifle, Woodwork find

This one is real woodwork find. I never thought it would happen to me. Through my friend I got this Russian Mosin PU sniper. It is Izevsk 1943 dated and no import marked of course. It is a Vietnam War bring back and veteran. I got it indirectly from Vietnam veteran's son. Scope got lost in the past, so it is only rifle, but all untouched and it indeed looks beaten up so must have seen some action.

Rifle and mount has most blueing gone, only grey patina same on rifle and mount. Only that surface of the mount that was covered with scope part of the mount retained it's blueing.

        buttplate

Scope number was A69xxx, so now I need to find one with similar range.
Numbers on the buttplate are not Russian. They may be Vietnamese, but I am not sure.

Too bad the scope is missing. Interesting rifle with a unique history.

Interesting find, and it is a rifle used in both ww2 and vietnam.

            Fantastic!
