What do you think about this MG bipod?

Thanks Bill...do you know what is the part which comes out on one side on the bipod's leg? Haven't seen this feature in any other MG bipod before...

This is an early bipod, for both MG13 and MG34. The small piece is the lock. Early bipods, if not mistaken, didn't have springs that would keep them open so moved freely. When closed under the MG, the lock would pressure them outwards and keep them fixed in place. I don't know if my explanation is clear? The price...100-150 I would say, but that's a personal option.

        Saludos

          Hello,

I concur I have a BSW 1938 bipod like this one fitted to my BSW 1937 MG34 as would have been the case for mid to late 1930's dated MG34's.

The small clip is indeed used to hold the bipod legs in position when stowed and folded.

          Regards,

          Mark.
