    lithuanian Mauser

Hi guys, I picked up a sporterized mauser rifle the other day. I looked into the crest on it and found that its a lituanian crest. Are they worth more than a typical germa mauser. I can take a pic of the crest if anyone would like to see it, but it looks like a castle or something.

    thanks in advance!

I believe they are worth some premuim. The castle thing is called the pillars of Gediminas I believe. You might also see " ginklus Fundas(sp)" or some similar stamping. It means "arms fund." The only downside will be the extent it has been sporterized. Nice find! Joe

Thanks Joe, Nothing was done to to the rifle other than removing it from its original stock and putting it into a sporterized stock and some holes for a scope mount.....I'm a sword guy so not really my area.

      thanks again!
