SA marked PP holster opinions,,,,,,,,,,,

Well Ive had this holster a while and always wondered if the SA was "added" post war . What do you guys think ?

The stitching on the strap is different than the rest of the holster . Doesnt look to be done at the time the holster was manufactured.

Hi Craig, Closing strap I think is a replacement ? not sure about the stamping but looks very old and not a recent addition. Regards Toby.

Hoslter itself looks good. However, SA marking does not look good at all. Definately not an original SA holster.

not a big fan of the over sized SA mark. possibly added pre 45 by some one else ?

The holster closure strap has been modified from it's original configuration. Where it is sewn at the top ..if it were original it would have been underfolded not just folded over. Also the stitching is incorrect with the wrong thread.

Look closely at the back of this strap..you can see on the edges there is the beginnings of the original tapering of the pointed end..this strap was cut off folded and sewn.

I agree as well--someone tried to make a deceptive fake of an SA holster, and, in the process, ruined a good AKAH holster.

Don't ya love the difference in thread color? What kind of a wiz did this job. Guess they thought the would hide the stamping in the cracks of the holster. Looks like it is suffering from the beginnings of dry-rot.

One other thing..the SA symbol is noticeably off center.
