    Mp-44

Need some advice from the members who are familar with class 3 weapons.

What is the approximate value of a late war, dated '45, fully fuctional MP-44? This weapon is registered with the ATF and is transferable. This weapon has the late war finish. All numbered parts are matching and the boar is excellent.

    Any info would be appreciated.

Price would be about $7,000-9,000 for one as you described. I wouldn't pay over 10,000 for it, since these are fairly easy to find in the price range I just mentioned.

Matt, I'm sorry I would have to disagree with your remark that they would be easy to find at those prices. Have you tried to buy one? I have, and was only lucky as I was standing by the table when the seller put it out. And of course there was another person just waiting for me to put it down so he could buy it. Now it is mismatched and a rewatt but I still had to pay $7,600 for it two years ago. If one comes up for under $10,000 these days matching, original auto and in the condition he mentioned you had better be the first one in line as it will be gone in minutes. I have never, at least speaking my own experience, seen one for sale listed below $10,000 that wasn't sold within a day or so. Most I see for sale now, and especially in matching condt with good finish are running over that $10,000 figure. Super nice ones up to $12,000 and they are also selling. Of course that doesn't mean you can't stumble on a bargin. Seems that lots of folks are wanting them now in fact almost all the WWII C&R registered guns are increasing at least 10% or better each year because of demand. I bought a nice matching Savage M1A1 Thompson about 6yrs ago for $2,900 now they are priced over $10,000 just to give you an example of the rise in prices. Ray

I bought a mismatched MP-40 for $1,800 in 1996. Do you know what it brings nowadays? I always enjoy shooting that thing!
