Original but reblued in my opinion...still a superb piece!

The reblue looks older; like the military "dipped" reblue seen on the MP-40's and MP-38's that were surplused off in Norway in the 1980's.

Hello,
very nice mp38, even match number and nice code with year 1939. Is it yours ? Or for sale? How was the price?
BUT :
By these pictures, you can´t decide for 100% sure that the tube/receiver is 100% original ww2 . Be ALWAYS careful with that. You need to decide when the tube was seperated from the "griffstück". I don´t want to explain more, the fakers of the tubes are always reading
The same for the magazine holder. A view from the inside is indispensable !

I will add you below a photo from a mp38 tube comparison made by a friend and me a few years ago. This photo indicates the clear view between fake and original receivers. As described above, I will not explain more, this photo is only a small indicator of manys .
