    Luger grips....lots of 'em

Just picked these up over the weekend, some are pretty rough, some pretty good, most in the middle, some weimar, some imperial....a plethora...

I've got about 25 pairs matched up so far....a time consuming process, I noticed the left grips are predominantly numbered compared to the right (see my photo w/ the little scraps of paper whilst sorting out serials)...is this just a fluke, or were left grips more commonly serialized? Chris...

Makes you wonder about all those Lugers with minty grips...now we know where the originals went.

                GRips

One set of GI souveniered, and a "red 9" artillery grip...I'll see what the verdict is on this one....

These were in an old timer's collection...a large collection. I've picked up a fair amount of the estate, I'll post some more pics later. I am curious now, I have purchased some Lugers from the estate and haven't pulled their grips off yet, I'm going to take a look at them.....hard telling if he changed out all the grips on his lugers or if he bought these surplused years ago....there were a massive amount of Lugers in the collection...none of them published or well known.
