Is that pressed cardboard? I know the strap looks leather but the body looks like some kind of pressed fiber material? At the end of the war the Germans were making due with what ever materials they could use.

But I've never seen one that looks like that. They usually resemble the original configurations. I'm sure one of our experts will chime in.
