Good effort Bryan - horrible job though eh? Here's some pics of my new WAa marked Lafette Carrying Straps bought from the Beltring Fair in Kent from a Dutch chap. He has no website but his ebay name is 'mariojc'. Nice bloke.

                info

                Congratulations! That's a fantastic job!

My friend is in the middle of a lafette restoration project also, but the right side of his data plate is competely unreadible. Could anyone please provide me a picture of that data plate, or at least - it would be a great help - tell me what's in that line?

                Thank you

I've to say I'm getting a little confuced about the RAL Codes.
I want to use Feldgrau Nr.im RAL-Reg.840 R 6006, but in the RAL Codes today this is called Grey olive.
Is this the correct colour to use on the lafette or should I go for Olivgrün RAL 6003.

I believe that RAL changed the names of their colours in the '50s - and that Feldgrau is now known as Grey Olive. Try these links:

What would be the correct colour to use on the lafette.
Is it the Grey olive 6006 or Olive grün 6003.

Use Grey olive 6006 if it is early war - do not use Olive grün 6003 as this is a NATO colour. My '42 lafette is painted dunkelgelb / ordnance tan. Post some pics of the procedure
