    Early Nazi Mauser Pistol

    This gun and holster I picked up last night from someone that called me from my newspaper ad. I need to find out some info on it. When was it manufactured and used? Is it really a Nazi Navy pistol or used otherwise?

    Here's a description:
    The gun has all matching numbers. On the one side it has the markings- Waffenfabrik Mauser A.-G. Oberndorf A.N. Mauser's Patent and a Mauser logo below it. Grips appear to be ivory. Holster flap has 2 pips on it one being gold the other silver. On the inside flap it has a persons name. On the rear of the holster it has a Waffenamt and dated 1941 with somekind of maker logo and a P. Mod 27. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

        other holster

        Hello i am not expert in firearms, but assume that is a german Mauser 7.65mm M1914/34 pistol, probably a owner upgrade with ivory grips, you should send more details about marking and stamps from surface, that could be examined the dating of the pistol to pre or nazi era. The holster was destined for P27 pistol, that was a captured czechoslovakian pistol for police Vz.27, made for germans in period of 1939-45. i hope this helps,Andy from BCN

          Hello your pistol is a Wartime commercial 1914..There is a Imperial German Army issue of this 1914 model, marked in the following way Imperial Geman Army acceptance stamp located on top of slide in front of the rear sight, and there are a few that display the Prussian eagle on the front of the trigger guard..The holster is for the Czech 7.65 m/m pistol model 27 as used by German forces.. the logo is for CZ..Hope this helps wfg

            One more point the grips are not original they should be wood on this model.. The grips on it are proably franzite made in Chicago, ILL...wfg
