    I permit you to buy K98 s/42 from 1936. The serial number is 6605. In reference books state that the highest serial number is 6392z. Can anyone give information about it?

    If the serial number is 6605 with no suffix, that would put it in the first production of 1936, and serial number 6392z would be almost 270,000 rifles later.

      Oke, also, all numbers are on the weapon with all stamps. the weapon is also stamper 1936. Thank you!
