Its been sportarized and am going to put the correct stock on. its from 7-43 serial #3842957. I have limited knowledge, but there seems to be 2 stock choices. Straight and pistol handle. Is there one that should be correct on this one? Is it taboo to put an original scope on it?

The original stock would be a straight grip. Original markings would be an FJA, crossed cannon acceptance mark, and RA on the left side of the stock just behind the cutoff (OFF/ON) recess.
There was no original scope for the Model 03-A3. The sniper version, which was the 03-A4, used the M73B1 scope originally. The 03-A4 also came with a pistol grip stock. Early 03-A4 versions had the full pistol grip C type stock, and later versions had the "scant" pistol grip stock.
