    German ammo: practice or???

    Hi,

    Together with some other boxes (like the tzech one in the other thread) I found this one. Was it used for practice or to shoot riflegrenades?

    Wooden blank.

    Hi,the platzpatrone was a wooden blank used for parctise shooting.The wooden bullet is normaly mauve in colour.Regards David.

      Practise rounds.

      Hi,a picture of the complete rounds,note these have been used once denoted by the ring on the cartridge .Regards David.

        But mine haven't been fired yet... Someone took of the wooden bullets?
        I have some with wooden bullets to but not in the box.

          Yes, the are training rounds. Can we see the wooden tips?

          Grenade launching rounds are pretty tough to find and I have never seen, or heard of, them being packed in 15-round boxes. The single rounds were usually taped to the rifle grenades.
