CZ38 question/dilemma?

Dears,

I have the opportunity to buy a CZ38 (P.39t) but i need some advice from the specialists.
The pistol has no waffenamt marks but bears the "E7-lion-39" mark and on the slide it has the manufacterers text.
Now the odd things :

- it has no serial number (not on the frame nor on the barrel
- it's chambered in 7,65mm instead of 933 short (i thought CZ38's were in 9mm short)

Can anyone shed some light on these issues or should i let thisone pass...

Some are supposedly know without serial numbers or acceptance marks, but this seems odd with the Germans obsession with numbering everything. Never heard of one in .32 ACP.
