Have a black soft shell P38? holster. Marked "bdr44". No P38 stamp on it. Did they all have that stamping? I know it is a Richard Ehrhardt holster.

P38 Holster Question

Hi Anchor,
Although there is some disagreement about the intended use of the bdr44 holsters, they are normally accepted as issued with the Astra 600.
All military WWII P.38 soft shell holsters that I know of have the "P.38" stamp on the back. If the bdr44 holsters were meant to be used with the P.38, they would be the only ones that I know of that don't have the "P.38" stamp on the back.
Regards, Leon
