Astra 400 - German Contract

I picked up my first Astra 400 today. It is all matching, has a couple of wear spots, but overall finish is in good condition, with original fire blued parts retaining their finish. It was overcast today to the point I could not get the fire blued parts captured very well, so I will try again tomorrow or Sunday.

Sorry for the long time in the reply. Finally had some sunlight and the time to take some photos. Attempted to get some of the fire-blued parts as well.

IMO: The Astra 400 is a pistol that has been unappreciated for far too long. The quality of these pistols is very exceptional and on-a-par with anything else produced at that time. These are quite shootable if you chose to do so and ammunition is available(9mm Largo) from SARCOS.
