That is a great piece! I missed out on one like it a few years back. Brings a tear to my one good eye. Good score.

I really love this model, what did you pay for it?? I'm interested in one but I would like to know how much they go for in Belgium.

It seems a typical mid-1920s production Bolo.
A nice score. I would just try to find original grips for it, but it's otherwise a nice catch!

JMHO, but I think the grips are original. They just show wear that makes the grooves hard to see.

hi guys ,the best thing is that i got it for free !!!
it was found during the cleaning of a house in my town .
the lady who found it wanted to throw it in the cannal near my house ,i was at the wright time on the wright place...
i think the grips belong to the gun ,there were never grooves in it .
              greetings

                stock question

i have a question to ,is there a diffirence in the stocks/holsters between a C96 ,C96 bolo ,C96 9mm and the R713 rapid fire gun ? can you fit my gun in all others ?
                thank you ,jo.

That's easy to know: just remove the grips and check if they have the last three digits of the serial number.

Regarding the stock, I never compared a Bolo stock with a standard C96 one. But I think that Bolo's are slightly shorter. The attachment iron piece, however, is always the same.

The Bolos a more compact version of the C96. Most of the ones I've seen over the years have grooved stocks so perhaps these are very worn. I don't know what the laws are where you're located but if you intend to fire this pistol have to checked beforehand by a competent gun smith. From the exterior I can see it looks worn and perhaps pitted. At the very least the internal springs should be replaced. A parts company here,SARCO, used to have replacemet spring kits for these.
I enjoy bringing my C96 with the detachable stock to the range and watching the looks and hearing the questions I get from other shooters.
