I seldom step in to any forum to give advice as to value but I will do so in this case. I believe that a number of the posts are from collectors who have no idea of real values. Also looking into the detail of a couple of responses they know little of the values of Lugers.
First, if it is an all matching pistol, minus the magazine, and it is dated 1940 with a serial number followed by the i suffix it will be marked 42 on the toggle. If it better than 95% with a mismatched magazine it is worth perhaps $1200 quick sale with no holster. The pistol shown appears to be a rare variation of the 1939 or 1940 42 code Mauser in that it has original ersatz brown bakelite grips probably made by Ritzman. This should push it up beyond $1500 assuming condition is 95% or better and all parts match. If the condition, etc is as I suggested a dealer would ask at least $2000.
A strong holster and good WWII era extra magazine should add at least $400.
