    dot 1941 G33/40 opinions

This is my new G33/40 by dot 1941. Anything bad to say about this one?

    Thanks!

    Looks pretty nice and sound!
    Do the numbers match? (Wood-receiver-bolt)

The receiver and barrel serials match and have a low four digit production run. The bolt is none matching but is it too is a four digit production run which puts it in the same year of manufacture.

Ohh and there's nothing (no markings) on the outside of the wood.

So anything bad about this one?

        Thanks!

I don't see anything blatantly wrong about it either

A fine used G-33/40 Waffenwerke Brunn.

Nothing bad (other than the commonly mismatched bolt), wished I could get one like this myself...

Wouldn't 90% of production have had a four digit serial number? I thought they used the same number/letter serial numbering system as the other German mass produced small arms.

Stock looks to have been sanded. Still a nice little rifle.

In a couple of the images the upper hand guard looked like like it might be a replacement (made from a different wood?). And I think that the stock itself should be numbered to match, which is something else that can be looked at. FP

They did use the same system, which in 1941 I think ran from the no letter block to "C". FP

Anyone else with a G33/40 can confirm this? I read somewhere that there is no S/N# on the outside wood (only in the inner wood parts which I have to check on mine)?

                        Thanks!
