DWM 1916 With Unit Markings

I picked up this 1916 DWM as a shooter since it was reblued. Found out it had some interesting unit markings as a bonus. I don't much about Imperial lugers, but apparently this one is fairly scare, and now I am debating whether it should be a shooter or not.

Yeah those are some good markings! Very cool!

I think they should all be shooters! Does not mean blast the crap out of them, but they are made to shoot! I shoot my 1916 DWM MGK unit marked Luger and its not a reblue.

Nice pistol, too bad about the rebluing. The unit marking indicates Maschinegewehr Scharfschuetzen Trupp, weapon 107. These subunits were specially trained assault troops who were armed with the so-called light machine gun MG 08/15.

Same here - too bad about the reblue as this alteration reduces the gun to "shooter" grade only. Thanks for posting, as the unit marks are good information for the data collectors/researchers amongst us.
