Mp40 Magazine Modifed for the Kp31

I have a magazine that was apparently modified for the est. 3000 Finnish Kp31's that were purchased by the Germans. Fits well in my kp31 and feeds nice if you hold up on the magazine. Has anyone heard of these before?

    Thanks

Don't have seriel number ranges, I only have a magazine. I have a few pictures of SS soldaten with the gun but using the drum magazine. This is where I got the info from: http://www.jaegerplatoon.net/MACHINEPISTOLS1.htm

I do not recall the germans actually buying any.
but these mags I have heard of = don't know how.
does not make any sense to do this specifically. original mags were easy to get then or now for that Finnish gun.
sorry I was of no help (yet).

Germany ordered a total of just over 3000 M/31's during 1942-43. Making an adapter for MP40 magazines is not that surprising as an adapter for an existing magazine in full production is far more easy to produce than having to rely on a foreign production source. Then add that the Finns had trouble keeping up with their own demand for magazines for the M/31.
