    Walther PP w/holster

    Fresh pick-up, super conditioned PP.
serial number apparently falls into war-time category but ampts are not present, just eagle over N.
Can I get some feedback, knowledge on pistol and holster, which has been together forever.
    thanks Ken

From the data I have it is a 1944 production PP.

Very nice, it's thought that the red grips possibly signified that the PP was used by an SA shooting team.

Would the grips have been from another PP used by an SA shooting team, as this pistol would appear to have been manufactured in mid 1944. Seems like I had read the grips were issued to be used on the team pistols from an earlier period.

No idea on the grips but it is a nice looking rig. Congrats on getting it.

Or they were using up old stock and in 1944 it really didn't matter much which grips were put on a pistol.

Or one GI may have liked the black grips better than the brown and swapped with his buddy. The possibilities could be endless.
